A true Senior Prom

Modified: Friday, May 4th, 2012

King and Queen of the Marana Health Center prom were Col. Stanley Eugene Hall and Martha Ortiz, both of Tucson. Both smiled wide after being introduced to the crowd Saturday night. Vintage restored cars flanked the stage and dance area Saturday night at the Marana Health Center prom. The evening turned into a perfect night for dancing or just listening to the University of Arizona Jazz Band.

MARANA The Marana Healthcare Center and Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance (SAACA) hosted a Senior Prom at the health center on Saturday night.

There were all the usual trappings of a prom - good food and great music provided by the University of Arizona Jazz Band. There was also a King and Queen of the prom. Col. Stanley Eugene Hall and Martha Ortiz were the honored royalty.

Ortiz continues to raise funds for health programs and to improve health care.

Hall was lead navigator of the first group of B-17s to fly directly from Newfoundland to Prestwick, Scotland. He flew 63 combat missions.
