Motorcyclist injured in crash

MARANA — Northwest Fire District responded to a motorcycle accident at Harman Lane and Cortaro Farms Road.

Just before noon, paramedics arrived to find a 53 year-old male who has suffered life-threatening critical injuries after losing control of his motorcycle.

Marana Police Department was at the scene to conduct the investigation into the cause of the accident.

The rider, who was wearing an old-fashion style “short” helmet, was transported to the Trauma Center the at University of Arizona’s Central Campus.

This is the second accident involving a motorcycle on the northwest side within 16 hours. The first accident occurred on Picture Rocks Road last night and resulted in a fatality for the motorcycle rider.
