The Week That Was
The Marana girls basketball team hosted their first Kids' Skills Camp. The four-day camp was a success. 53 campers came out and go to have fun while also getting some good instruction.

MARANA, There is a real Mountain View feel to the Tucson Soccer Academy FC women's semi-pro soccer team. TSA FC not only features four former Mountain Lion players on the roster, but Athletic Director Todd Garelick and women's soccer coach Amy Garelick are coaching the team, with Amy Garelick serving as head coach.

MARANA, The Marana Wrestling Club ventured to Colorado for a unique wrestling experience earlier this month. The Tigers headed to Pagosa Springs for the Wrestle The World Outdoor Camp.
The Camp is one part wrestling camp, one part camping trip as the wrestlers sleep outside in tents, not in dormitories or hotels.

MARANA, A former Mountain View basketball standout will be coaching a north side rival. Former Mountain Lion player Doug D'Amore was named the head coach at Catalina Foothills.
D'Amore replaces Mark Felix who left to take the Ironwood Ridge job. The 32-year old D'Amore was also a candidate for the Nighthawks' opening.

MARANA, Flowing Wells High School was the place to be for teams from Marana on Thursday. The Caballeros hosted a four-team passing league and the Flowing Wells Summer League was in action as well.
