MARANA – The Marana girls soccer team closed out the regular season and now eye the post season. Despite dropping their last game of the season, the Tigers still advance to the 4A-I state playoffs.

Five bad minutes was the difference in Marana’s 2-0 loss to Sahuaro on Friday.

The game was rescheduled from Thursday due to inclement weather.

The Cougars got a pair of first half goals and that was enough to hold off the Tigers. The Cougars got a breakaway goal with less than eight minutes to play in the half. Three minutes later a throw-in scooted through the box and a Cougar was the first to get a foot on it at the far post.
