Easy week for Tiger softball

MARANA – The Marana softball team cruised to a 9-0 road win over Rincon on Tuesday afternoon. It was their lone game of the week.

After stranding a runner in the first, the Lady Tigers plated a run in the second. Casey Cadenhead led off the inning with a single and gave way to courtesy runner Alex Gehr who promptly stole second.

Hannah McCoy singled and Gehr raced home on a Katie Miller single one batter later.

In the third, Kila Stevens reached thanks to an error, stole second and moved to third on a wild pitch. Sierra Cuestas walked and stole second. With two runners in scoring position Cadenhead doubled to left, scoring both runners.

Cadenhead was 3-4 on the day.
