Tucson Soccer Academy '95 Girls Red

Tucson Soccer Academy '95 Girls Red - took home the State Cup, defeating EVERY team in the State Cup tournament, including this weekend’s final against the defending champs SC Del Sol ECNL out of Phoenix.

The TSA ’95 Girls Red beat SC Del Sol decisively 4-1.

The TSA team features four Mountain View varsity players and are coached by the Lions’ Athletic Director Todd Garelick as well as his wife, MV girls soccer coach Amy Garelick.

“The TSA team has been pretty amazing this year,” Todd Garelick said.

The team took third place in the Far West Region IV Championships in both the Fall and Spring Seasons.

“Many of the girls represented Arizona on the ODP Team for their age group and also took 3rd against teams from 14 Western States in January,” Garelick added.

After the weekend win, the team now moves on to represent Arizona in the US Youth Soccer Regionals which will take place at Reach 11 in Phoenix starting June 18-24.

The four Mountain View players are Justene Kesterson, Laura Pimienta, Karina Gabino and Priscilla Pimienta.
