Boys hoop teams to compete in Flowing Wells league

The Marana and Mountain View basketball teams return to action this week when tthey play in the Flowing Wells Summer League.

The league has 25 teams and plays every Tuesday and Thursday night between now and June 28.

The Mountain Lions, as they have done the past few seasons, will actually field two teams, allowing the bulk of their roster to play twice a night.

Mountain View and Marana each begin play on Tuesday night, with both teams playing double headers. The two teams play at 6 p.m. in the main gym. Mountain View plays Pueblo an hour earlier, while the Tigers plays Tucson High at 7 p.m..

The Lions will play Empire and Palo Verde at 5 and 6 on Thursday. Marana has the day off. They next play May 29 against Palo Verde at 7 p.m..

Mountain View plays Amphi and Flowing Wells that night at 7 and 8 p.m..
