One game short

When Thornydale’s Junior Baseball All-Stars lost to Western back on June 27 they knew the road to the District 5 Championship would not be an easy one. The loss meant they had to win three straight games to earn the title.

They came up one short.

On Tuesday night Thornydale fell 14-1 to Western.

24 hours earlier Thornydale beat Western 16-12 to force the winner-take-all final.

Western now moves on to the state championships in Prescott. Thornydale’s season comes to an end.
