Hang-Out Studio open on Thursdays

MARANA , A.C.M.EstuDio, in partnership with Marana Parks & Recreation, is hosting a Thursday night hang-out for teens. The Hang-Out Studio is open from 6 p.m., 9 p.m., every Thursday, at the Continental Ranch Reserve Park at Silverbell and Quick Mart. This event gives students a safe haven to create and communicate, with no restrictions.

Annual Fall Carnival planned for Oct. 1 at Rattlesnake Ridge

MARANA -- The Rattlesnake Ridge and Twin Peaks Elementary parents and teacher associations are sponsoring its Annual Fall Carnival at Rattlesnake Ridge Elementary School, 8500 N. Continental Reserve Loop, which is located on Continental Reserve Loop, off of Silverbell at Coachline, just next to the Continental Reserve Park. The carnival is Friday, Oct. 1, from 5 p.m., 9 p.m.

Comcast continues partnership with school

MARANA -- Comcast has gone the extra mile in how it partners with its adopt a school associate DeGrazia Elementary School.
Last spring volunteers from the cable company and school parents gathered together to beautify the campus and do some needed maintenance.

Time for the Marana Foundation’s Last Splash event

MARANA -- The Marana Foundation's Summer's Last Splash is set for Sept. 12 at Breakers Water Park.
Things get underway that Sunday at 11 a.m. Tickets are $10 per person at schools and $11 on the day of the event at Breakers.
Schools will receive a percentage of ticket sales that they make.

Rotary Golf ‘Fore’ Education outing planned for Nov. 20

MARANA -- A golf outing "just for fun" and open to all interested players will be held at Heritage Highlands on Saturday, Nov. 20, to benefit Marana school children.
Sponsored by the Dove Mountain Rotary Club, the Golf "Fore" Education event will raise funds for college scholarships and the club's other projects for students in the local schools.
