Students place at Ford/AAA Auto Skills Competition

Jeremiah Butler and Myles Hall took fifth place. Luis Gloria, Lane Andrews and instructor Brian Parag finished in ninth place.


MARANA Four students from Mountain View High School took home fifth and ninth place at the Ford/AAA Auto Skills Competition held Friday, May 4. These students were among the top ten teams across the state competing for a chance to represent AZ at the national title.

Jeremiah Butler and Myles Hall took fifth place and Lane Andrews and Luis Gloria took ninth place.

he Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills nationwide automotive technology competition offers nearly $12 million in scholarships and prizes to high school juniors and seniors interested in pursuing careers as automotive service technicians. More than 10,000 students from across the nation compete for the chance to represent their school and state as part of a two-person team in the National Finals on the front lawn of Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Mich.
