MARANA — In support of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, Marana schools will raise awareness of bullying prevention through events, activities, outreach, and education. Bullying can be verbal, physical, or via the Internet. It can severely affect the victim's self-image, social interactions, and school performance― www.maranausd.org/bullying.

“The Ben’s Bells Kindness Night’
Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Parents and students of Rattlesnake Ridge Elementary School are invited to the 1st annual “Ben’s Bells Kindness Night.” The night will be kicked off by a welcome speech from Meg Maxwell, Ben’s Bell Board Member/Art Teacher at Marana Middle School. Students and their families will hear the message of Ben’s Bells and will paint kindness tokens during the event. The night will also be hosted by five fourth grade students who have been assigned to create an improvement project for the school. The students’ message is, “The Ben’s Bells Kindness Night’ will inspire students at our school to be kind, encourage students to include others, and make our school safer because there will be no bullying.”
Blue Ribbon Day & Bullying Prevention Assemblies

As middle school students arrive on campus Oct. 3 at 8:30 a.m. – 8:55 a.m., staff members will be passing out blue ribbon stickers for students to wear.
Students will attend assemblies on Oct. 4 and Oct. 5 at 11:41 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
to learn about bullying prevention, school-wide Kind Campus movement, and positive opportunities students can be involved in on campus.
