Burglary No Force Residence

Monday, June 4

11:48 p.m., 5300 block of W. Eaglestone Loop – A woman reported finding a flat screen television on its side when she entered her mother-in-law’s home. The mother-in-law came home and 9-1-1 was called. It was determined that $6,000 in cash had been taken from an envelope and a gun belonging to her late husband was also gone. The house had been gone through but only the money and gun had been stolen.



Frauds

Tuesday, June 5

10:59 a.m., 4900 block of W. Hurston Drive – A man looking for a job expressed interest in a mystery shopper job he saw on Craig’s List. He was sent a check for $2,500 and instructed to send the money minus his pay and the Western Union fees to an individual in Florida. He was supposed to be mystery shopping the customer service he was provided by Western Union. The man suspected this was a scam and did not send any money to anyone. All messages and mail he received were turned over to the sheriff’s office.
