On June 19, the first of two new Sun Shuttle shelters was placed on Marana Main Street. The shelter, designed and built by students from the University of Arizona’s College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, was engineered with a louver system that provides maximum shade during the summer while allowing air to flow through the structure. In the next few weeks, riders will begin using the new stop instead of the one in front of the Marana Municipal Complex, giving passengers access to town and MHC Healthcenter facilities. The second shelter will be installed early this fall.
