Larceny

Sunday, June 17

12:20 p.m., 7800 block of N. Leilani Lane The store manager at Auto Zone reported that two men had entered the store and approached the front counter with a stereo system valued at $110.00. The men asked if they could look at the system and while the manager was looking for a box opener the two men picked up the box and ran from the store.

Possession

Tuesday, June 19

12:22 a.m., N. Silverbell Road & N. Coachline Blvd. While conducting a security check at this location officers encountered two young men walking down the street. After speaking to the two suspects, it was determined that they had met another male suspect and had purchased marijuana from him. They were then dropped off at this location. The suspect in possession of the marijuana was cited and released.

Burglary

Tuesday, June 19

12:47 p.m., 11000 block of W. Heyburn Drive A Realtor reported that $1,100 worth of ceiling fans had been stolen from a house the company is leasing.

Wednesday, June 20

8:38 a.m., 4900 block of W. Ina Road An employee of Best Western reported that a $4,000 Spectrum Aquatics pool lift had been stolen.

Wednesday, June 20

12:32 p.m., 8200 block of N. Cortaro Road An asset protection employee at Wal-Mart had a male suspect in custody for shoplifting. The suspect entered the store and was observed taking a phone carrier for a bicycle off the shelf, removing it from its packaging and concealing it in a pocket. When the suspect was stopped by asset protection it was determined that he also had a three package of boxer briefs concealed as well. The suspect was cited and released.

Wednesday, June 20

4:15 p.m., 9100 block of N. Coachline Blvd. It was reported that sometime during the night, an unknown suspect had driven their vehicle onto the football field at Windmill Park and torn up the grass. Repairs are estimated at $1,000.

Theft Auto

Wednesday, June 20

4:23 p.m., 3500 block of W. Orange Grove Road A woman reported that her 2009 Ford Mustang valued at $18,000 was stolen while she was out of town. The male subject she left the car in the care of reported leaving it parked in the parking lot at an apartment complex while he played softball and when he returned to the complex parking lot the car was gone.

4:57 p.m., 5200 block of W. New Shadow Way A man reported that $254.00 worth of gardening lights and cacti/pots had been stolen from his yard.

7:08 p.m., 4100 block of W. Ina Road The manager of Freedom Smoke Shop reported that they were having a problem with the cash drawer coming up short on a regular basis. On this date he had video tape confirmation of a female employee stealing $20. The employee was let go from her job, cited and released.

Thursday, June 21

9:36 p.m., 5600 block of W. Cortaro Farms Road An employee of Circle K reported that a male had entered the store and left with a $6.29 package of beef jerky without paying.

Theft Other

Friday, June 22

2:30 a.m., 8200 block of N. Cortaro Road A man reported that a man he had been traveling with stole his wallet out of his pocket while he was asleep in the bed of his truck. The wallet contained $1,200 US currency and 2,000 Pesos.

Friday, June 22

7:44 a.m., 7900 block of W. Mural Hill Drive A man reported that the lock had been punched on his wifes car while parked in their driveway. Repairs are estimated at $200.

Theft from Motor Vehicle

Friday, June 22

8:50 a.m., 12000 block of N. Fallen Fence Lane A man reported that his unlocked vehicle had been entered by an unknown suspect and the vehicle registration was stolen from the glove box.

Larceny Shoplifting

Friday, June 22

2:41 p.m., 11000 block of W. Marana Road Employees of Cotton Blossom Thrift Store reported that a man had entered the store, changed clothes and then left without paying for the clothes he put on. The man appeared to be homeless. He was located in a nearby dumpster, cited and booked into the Pima County Jail.

Friday, June 22

11:11 p.m., 4200 block of W. Ina Road An employee of the Giant Store reported that a young man had come in and asked if they had his wallet. He used the wallet earlier in the day and was sure it had to be at the store. The suspect convinced the employee to go to the office and check at which time the suspect ran behind the counter and took all the cash out of the register and then ran out of the store.

Saturday, June 23

4:21 p.m., 3700 block of W. Orange Grove Road A man reported that his personal Sony DSL digital camera had been stolen from his Sam Levitz office. The camera is valued at $399.
