Continental Ranch falls at state

The Continental Ranch Softball Majors All-Star team saw their season come to an end with a dramatic 4-3 loss to Cactus Foothills on Wednesday night in the Arizona state tournament.

The loss was their second in the double elimination. They dropped their opening game 16-1 to Douglas, but turned around and beat Prescott Valley 15-0.

Continental Ranch won the District 5 Tournament, sweeping all three games.

Two other local softball teams, both from Thornydale, will begin their state tournaments this weekend.
